Google has officially launched Gemini, its much-anticipated AI model, heralding a new era of artificial intelligence for the tech world.

Gemini is Google's most advanced AI model to date, trained on a variety of data types including video, images, audio and text.

Gemini is available in three versions: Gemini Nano for native offline use on Android devices, Gemini Pro for offering various Google AI services, and Gemini Ultra for data center and enterprise applications.

This groundbreaking model is poised to integrate Google's search engine, advertising products, Chrome browser, and more to create a rich future for the world's technology.

Gemini's sales are different, with Bard now offering Gemini Pro and Pixel 8 Pro users new features via the Gemini Nano, while the Gemini Ultra will be available next year.

Beginning December 13, developers and enterprise customers can access Gemini Pro through Google Generative AI Studio or Vertex AI on Google Cloud. Although initially only available in English, Google plans to expand language support.

Touted as OpenAI's answer to ChatGPT, which has gained popularity in the AI landscape, Gemini outperforms ChatGPT in 32 out of 30 metrics, according to Google CEO Sundar Pichai. It specializes in understanding and interacting with video and audio to match the ship's multimodal design.

The ship is versatile, works with text, images, video and audio, and future additions are expected to add more features.

A notable feature of the Gemini is its performance, which is faster and more efficient than the previous model. Trained in Google's sensor processing units, Google is also releasing TPU v5p, a new version of its computing system for large-scale model training and execution.

While emphasizing growth, Google sees Gemini as a game-changer, perhaps comparable to the Web's impact on the company's growth. With a focus on artificial general intelligence, Google prioritizes security and accountability, conducting internal and external investigations to address potential issues and attack vectors.

The introduction of Gemini reflects Google's unique efforts to compete and innovate in the evolving landscape of creative AI.
